Davis was traded from the Browns to the Jets on Thursday in exchange for safety Calvin Pryor, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

The Browns have elected to ship away their second-leading tackler from 2016, as Davis racked up 99 tackles after signing with Cleveland as a free agent before the season. Davis -- who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Jets after being selected by them in the third round of the 2012 draft -- will provide added depth at inside linebacker in his return to New York. Moreover, he could compete for Darron Lee's starting spot at the right inside linebacker slot.
