The Jets activated Flacco (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Flacco was expected to miss at least 10 days as an unvaccinated player who tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll be able to return to practice Wednesday after the league recently instituted new rules allowing that timeline to be cut in half. The 36-year-old should serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Zach Wilson in Sunday's matchup with Tampa Bay.
