Ward signed with the Steelers' practice squad Thursday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
The veteran running back out of Central Michigan fell short of making Pittsburgh's initial 53-man roster Tuesday, but it appears he's agreed to join the team's practice squad. Ward appeared in eight regular-season games with the Titans last season, recording 11 rushing yards while also playing 91 special-teams snaps.
