Russell (undisclosed) was placed on the Saints' practice squad COVID-19 list Sunday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Russell was one of three practice squad players to land on the COVID-19 list Sunday. He was only active for one game this season, playing exclusively special teams, so his absence shouldn't impact the Saints' active roster.
