Packers' James Starks: Quick recovery anticipated

Starks is expected by coach Mike McCarthy to make a quick recovery from his Sunday morning knee surgery, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.

Starks missed Sunday's loss to the Cowboys after having his torn meniscus repaired and will almost certainly be sidelined for this Thursday's game versus the Bears as well, but McCarthy suggested Monday that the veteran should still be back relatively soon. That projection seemingly conflicts with previous reports that Starks could miss "several" weeks, leaving his situation somewhat murky at the moment. While the extended time off following Thursday's contest should help Starks' recovery, further information will be needed before his fantasy owners can shape a concrete expectation of when he'll be available.
