Panthers' Kurt Coleman: Enters concussion protocol

Coleman has entered the concussion protocol, sitting out Wednesday's practice as a result, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.

According to head coach Ron Rivera, Coleman volunteered after Sunday's game that he may have symptoms, hence his current standing. Coming off his top-2 tackle performances of the season, an absence would be a hit to the back end of the Panthers' defense and to IDP pursuits alike. If Coleman is unable to complete the protocol, Michael Griffin would slide in at strong safety next to Tre Boston.
