Uche (ankle) was placed on IR on Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Uche has been playing a rotational role in the Patriots' linebacker unit this season. Acting primarily as a pass-rusher, Uche has three sacks on the season. The 22-year-old will try to return in three weeks when he is eligible to come off IR.
