Patriots' Kyle Dugger: Likely avoided serious injury

Dugger (ankle) likely avoided a serious injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Dugger's timeline for a return as well as an official diagnosis are still unknown, but it appears the Patriots are not expecting the 28-year-old to miss a significant amount of time. Further clarity on his injury and status for this Sunday's against the Dolphins should come later in the week.
