Edwards (hip) began doing work on the side of practice Thursday, Scott Bair of Comcast SportsNet reports.

Edwards had not practiced since injuring his hip in the team's first preseason game. His injury has completely healed but he is still rehabbing to get his strength and movement back to where it needs to be in order to play. He remains a candidate to be activated off IR and would be eligible to play immediately, though he may need added time to get back into the swing of things in games and at practice.
