Easley was tendered by the Rams on Tuesday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.

The original-round tender means that the Rams have the right of first refusal for any contract offers the defensive end receives from other teams. In his first season with the Rams last year, Easley recorded 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 16 games, both of which were career highs. The 25-year-old could be destined for an even bigger role with the team this season under new defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.
