Jones (ankle) underwent surgery Monday and is in line to land on the Rams' injured reserve, J.B. Long of the Los Angeles Rams Radio Network reports.
Jones will presumably target a potential return to action during the postseason. His soon-to-be IR stint, which should be made official in the coming days, figures to free up an opportunity for either Christian Rozeboom or Travin Howard at inside linebacker.
