Joyner is dealing with Achilles soreness following Thursday's practice, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.
Joyner's injury does not appear to be overly serious, and with the regular season still multiple weeks away, there's no reason for the Rams to rush the safety back into action. Look for Marqui Christian to see increased snaps with the first team as long as Joyner is out.
