Brown enters the season as the Rams' No. 2 running back, ESPN.com's Alden Gonzalez reports.
With Lance Dunbar (knee) officially out for at least six games, Brown and undrafted rookie Justin Davis are left as the only depth behind Todd Gurley. The Rams might consider adding another back in the coming days, but a new addition presumably wouldn't have a shot to usurp Brown before the regular-season opener against Indianapolis. The team's lack of a pass-catching back suggests Gurley will handle a heavy three-down workload.
