The Redskins waived Thompson (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Saturday, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.
Thompson has avoided spending the entire season on the Redskins' IR by reaching the settlement. He will now be free to look for a new opportunity once his health allows it.
