Seattle placed Shell (shoulder) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday after he tested positive for the virus, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Given the timing of his move to the list, Shell is unlikely to clear the necessary protocols ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rams. Jake Curhan is a candidate to fill in at right tackle for Shell, who had already been nursing a shoulder injury heading into the Week 15 contest.
