Coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Shell suffered an ankle sprain, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Shell was forced out of Thursday's 28-21 win over the Cardinals in the fourth quarter, and Cedric Ogbuehi replaced him at right tackle. The severity of Shell's ankle sprain remains undisclosed, but he'll get the benefit of a few extra days to rest up before the Seahawks' next game, a Nov. 30 contest in Philadelphia.
