Dotson (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Dotson was placed on injured reserve Nov. 20, and after returning to practice Wednesday, will have 21 days to be added to the active roster. The second-year pro started nine games at left guard before suffering the ankle injury, so his return would be a big boost to a Steelers' offense that has failed to score more than 20 points in three of their last four games.
