Texans' DeAndre Hopkins: Hauls in game-high seven passes Thursday

Hopkins brought in seven of 13 targets for 73 yards in Thursday's 13-9 win over the Bengals.

Unsurprisingly, Hopkins was rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson's top security blanket, especially with the team's top three tight ends all sidelined. The former Pro Bowler was particularly effective in the Texans' final scoring possession, bringing in three catches for 29 yards. Despite a below-average efficiency rate thus far (14 receptions on 29 targets), the encouraging sign for Hopkins' fantasy owners after a frustrating 2016 is that he's clearly going to see robust volume with Watson behind center, even when the offense returns to full health. The 25-year-old wideout's prospects should therefore only continue to brighten as his rookie quarterback gets increasingly acclimated to the pro game. Hopkins should once again play a pivotal role when the Texans hit the road to tangle with the Patriots in Week 3.
