Yates' (knee) torn ACL has been confirmed by testing, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Yates' season will now come to a close after a couple of valiant efforts in relief of Brian Hoyer (concussion). With Yates out, Brandon Weeden becomes the Texans' stand-in starting quarterback until Hoyer clears league protocol.
