Ervin had five targets and three receptions for 16 yards while playing 27 snaps in Thursday's 13-9 win over the Bengals.

The Texans promised to increase the involvement of rookie third-round pick D'Onta Foreman in Week 2, and that's exactly what happened. Foreman's playing time (17 snaps) came at the expense of Ervin, who had seven touches and 50 snaps in the season-opening loss to the Jaguars. While Ervin's snaps were nearly cut in half from Week 1 to Week 2, we'll hold off on making any snap judgments. It's hard to divine much meaning from Thursday night games, which tend to skew game plans due to the teams having played a game four days earlier. However Ervin's week-to-week playing time on offense shakes out, he will remain the main return man on punts and kickoffs.
