Titans' DeMarco Murray: More involved in Week 2?

Murray, who has just 12 rushing attempts in Week 1, could get increased volume in Week 2 against the Jaguars, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.

Titans coaches discussed the ground game leading up to the Jaguars game this weekend. Head coach Mike Mularkey indicated the team needs "to run it more if we can," while offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie was less concerned with volume than being effective when they do run. Empirical evidence sides with Mularkey on this point. The Titans have a 3-13 record when quarterback Marcus Mariota attempts more than 30 passes in a game -- he threw 41 times in a Week 1 loss to the Raiders -- and 8-4 when he throws fewer than 30 times. If the Titans can dictate the flow of the game, look for Murray and Derrick Henry to garner more attempts against the Jaguars.
