Tannehill completed 21 of 35 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Arizona on Sunday while running for 17 yards and one touchdown.

It was a weak showing in what arguably was the best on-paper matchup on Tannehill's entire 2021 schedule. Arizona pass rusher Chandler Jones almost single-handedly defeated the Tennessee offense by sacking Tannehill five times, leaving the Titans unable to capitalize on Arizona's poor cornerback personnel. A.J. Brown (four catches for 49 yards and one touchdown on eight targets) and Julio Jones (three catches for 29 yards on six targets) both fell flat in the outing. The Seahawks pass rush should be more manageable for Tannehill in Week 2, but the Titans offense has some questions to answer as it heads on the road to Seattle.
