Vikings' Sharrif Floyd: Remaining optimistic despite slow recovery
Floyd (knee) is still not able to run but remains optimistic regarding his 2017 availability, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Floyd, who hasn't been able to compete during OTAs, dismissed the rumor that his injury is career-threatening: "I think it's just a rumor going around right now. But right now, I think everything is going to be all right. It's just a matter of when." Slowly but surely, the 26-year-old plans to return to the field for the 2017 campaign, which marks the last year of his rookie contract before he eventually hits free agency.
