When training camp just got underway, Arian Foster tore his groin. Immediately the belief was he'd miss half the season and the Texans would move forward with Alfred Blue and others.

But the Texans didn't add another running back, which seemed ... curious. Then reports began swirling that Foster wouldn't miss as much time as we first thought.

Then just this weekend a new report surfaced suggesting Foster's recovery from surgery has been great and as a result has a real chance to be back on the field by late September or early October.

If you drafted Foster at any point past Round 6, you landed yourself a steal after all. But you also might have a trade to think about. Foster's sudden availability offers his Fantasy owners some flexibility -- either Foster could be traded to upgrade a different part of a team or another running back could be moved since Foster at least provides incredible depth.

And then there are the non-believers who took Foster for whatever reason but are jittery about him lasting long. After all, he is coming back from significant surgery and didn't have the benefit of even a partial training camp. There isn't a guarantee he'll be a dominant No. 1 Fantasy running back.

There haven't been many trades made across CBSSports.com leagues -- which is totally normal because people don't trade before the season unless they think they're getting a steal. But let's check out the deals involving Foster and see which ones make sense based on what we expect and which ones are completely whacko.

Arian Foster and Alfred Blue for T.Y. Hilton: I can see why someone would make this deal -- maybe an owner started a draft with three receivers and moved Hilton for a running back crew. By Week 5 this could look like a steal ... one way or the other. At the start of the season I'd rather have Hilton.

Arian Foster for Julius Thomas, DeSean Jackson and Darren McFadden: Technically this is close to a square deal from the chart, but a three-for-one deal like this usually means someone's shoving a pile of mediocrity into someone's lap for a stud. And, in these cases, you want to be the one getting the stud.

Arian Foster and Jeremy Maclin for Calvin Johnson: Another deal that might look like a steal one way or the other by Week 5. For now you'd rather transform your squad with Megatron.

Arian Foster and Ben Roethlisberger for Dez Bryant and Lamar Miller: Call the cops because someone pulled off a heist! Foster and Roethlisberger might be a good price for one of these guys, but both? This is a case of someone getting stupid before the season and another owner reaping the rewards.

Arian Foster for Rob Gronkowski: LOLbad.

Arian Foster and Devin Funchess for DeAndre Hopkins: This one's really close -- it's dead-on in a PPR league. Deals like this are perfect for Foster.

What are the Trade Values? The chart is designed to help guide you in making fair trades in your standard-scoring or PPR leagues. The values assigned to the players below are a long-term measurement of their Fantasy value. By adding two players' values you could determine what one player you should be able to get in return. This list should also work as a "Rest of Season" rankings. Also, any player not on the chart should be considered valued at no more than two points.
