  • Demaryius Thomas: Announces retirement

Thomas has announced his retirement from the NFL. Thomas, who last played in 2019, will retire as a Bronco, the team that picked him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. In a career that spanned 143 regular-season games, Thomas caught 724 passes for 9,763 yards and 63 TDs, with the bulk of his production coming during the nine seasons he spent in a Denver uniform.

  • Demaryius Thomas: Still planning to play

Thomas (hamstring) said Wednesday in an interview with Sportsradio 104.3 The Fan Denver on Wednesday that he feels good and wants to continue his playing career in 2020. After appearing in 11 games for the Jets in 2019 and totaling 36 catches for 433 yards and one touchdown, Thomas has remained unsigned since the start of free agency in mid-March. The veteran wide receiver sits at 9,763 receiving yards for his career and said that he would like to crack the 10,000-yard mark before he more seriously considers retirement.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Inactive Sunday

Thomas (hamstring/knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills. With Thomas still out, Vyncint Smith will once again work as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver in the team's season finale.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Questionable for Week 17

Thomas (hamstring/knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after returning to a limited practice Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Thomas, who hasn't played since Dec. 8, could potentially be active for Sunday's season finale, but if he does suit up, how much work he'd be in line to see is cloudy, considering that Friday's limited session was the veteran wideout's frst practice participation since Week 14.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Remains sidelined

Thomas (hamstring/knee) didn't practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Thomas has one more chance to practice this week, but he's trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Bills. If that ends up happening, Vyncint Smith would once again work as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver this weekend.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Listed as non-participant

Thomas (hamstring/knee) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Thomas, who has missed two straight games, has a couple of chances to return to the practice field this week. At this stage though, he looks iffy for Sunday's season finale against the Bills. If Thomas remains out this weekend, Vyncint Smith would continue to see added work as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Non-participant Tuesday

Thomas (hamstring) was a non-participant at Tuesday's walkthrough, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. Thomas has missed the Jets' last two games with a lingering hamstring injury, and although Tuesday was not an official practice session, the fact that he was unable to suit up in any capacity does not bode well for his Week 17 availability. With the Jets squarely out of playoff contention, there is little motivation for the team to play its injured players, so Thomas may be held out again against the Bills.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Sitting out Sunday

Thomas (hamstring/knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers. The Jets listed Thomas as doubtful in advance of the contest, so there never seemed to be much hope that he would be ready to return from a one-game absence. With Thomas sidelined for another week, Vyncint Smith should step in as the Jets' primary No. 3 receiver behind Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Listed as doubtful

Thomas (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports. With Thomas trending toward another absence Sunday, Vyncint Smith once again is in line to serve as the Jets' No. 3 receiver this weekend.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Will not practice Friday

Thomas (hamstring) will not practice Friday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. Thomas sat out the Jets' first two practices of the week and will miss another session Friday, which does not bode well for his chances of playing in Week 16. The Jets will reveal whether or not he has any chance to play Sunday against the Steelers when they release their final injury report of the week.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Misses another practice

Thomas (hamstring) will remain sidelined at practice Thursday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. With that, Thomas -- who was inactive in Week 15 -- is looking pretty iffy for Sunday's game against the Steelers. If he remains sidelined this weekend, Vyncint Smith would once again be in line to serve as the Jets' No. 3 receiver.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Not ready to practice

Thomas (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports. The continued absence from practice suggests Thomas is in serious danger of missing second game in a row. Vyncint Smith filled in as the No. 3 receiver last Thursday in Baltimore, catching three of five targets for 40 yards while playing 63 percent of the offensive snaps.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Sidelined Thursday

Thomas (hamstring) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Ravens. With Thomas out, added snaps are available for Vyncint Smith, though he'd be a speculative fantasy play in Week 15. Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder currently profile as the safest lineup options among the Jets' pass catchers.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Doubtful for Thursday

Thomas (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's tilt against the Ravens, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Thomas didn't practice in any capacity this week and is trending in the wrong direction as Thursday's game approaches. If the veteran wideout is in fact forced to sit out Week 15, Vyncint Smith would be the top option to take his spot in three-receiver sets alongside Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: No practice reps Tuesday

Thomas (hamstring) won't participate in Tuesday's practice, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports. Thomas is no stranger to practice limitations during his current stint with the Jets, but with the short turnaround between games this week, the team seems to be taking no chances with the veteran wide receiver. In the end, Wednesday's injury report will reveal whether or not he receives his customary 'questionable' designation for Thursday's contest in Baltimore.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: DNP on Monday's estimate

Thomas (hamstring/knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports. Thomas was able to play through the hamstring injury during Week 14's 22-21 win over the Dolphins, hauling in two passes for 28 yards and his first touchdown of the season. The Jets are on a short week ahead of Thursday's clash against the Ravens, so there's cause for concern that Thomas won't be able to heal in time for the prime-time game. Coming off three straight games below 30 receiving yards, Thomas has a low fantasy ceiling against one of the league's best secondaries if he's able to play.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Scores first TD of 2019

Thomas (hamstring) caught two of four targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-22 victory over the Dolphins. Thomas finally found the end zone for the first time this season with a 14-yard score in the second quarter. He was checked for an injury immediately after the play but was able to continue. Thomas has gutted out an injury-plagued campaign, but he has a difficult matchup against the Ravens on Thursday.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Listed as active Sunday

Thomas (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Thomas continues to see his share of snaps in the Jets offense, along with fellow receivers Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder, but of late his ceiling has been limited, with the 31-year-old -- who hasn't scored a TD in 10 games to date -- having totaled nine catches (on 13 targets) for 89 yards over his last three outings.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Gets questionable designation

Thomas (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. The lingering hamstring issue has made Thomas a regular presence on Jets injury reports throughout the season, though he hasn't actually missed a game since Week 3. Even though he was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, expect Thomas to avoid the inactive list come Sunday and hold down a regular role in three-receiver formations.

  • Jets' Demaryius Thomas: Maintains limited activity

Thomas (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. The activity level represents no change from Wednesday, but the Jets don't seem to have any serious concern about Thomas' status for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. If he upgrades to full participation Friday or merely maintains limited activity, Thomas shouldn't face any restrictions with his snap count this weekend.
