  • Cory Harkey: Released by Rams
    By RotoWire Staff

Harkey was released by the Rams on Saturday, Jamie Han of the Rams' official site reports. Harkey evidently didn't make enough of an impression in the preseason to warrant a roster spot. As a vested veteran, he isn't subject to waivers and is eligible to sign elsewhere immediately.

  • Rams' Cory Harkey: Catches two passes Saturday
    By RotoWire Staff

Harkey caught two of three targets for 18 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Raiders. Harkey ran with the second-term offense Saturday, but was still on the field for only 19 offensive snaps. With Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee the clear top two tight ends in the Rams' passing attack, Harkey looks like a long shot to garner fantasy value in most leagues this season. The 27-year-old will likely crack the roster and continue being utilized primarily as a blocker.

Harkey (triceps) was removed from the non-football injury list Saturday, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports. Although he ended last season on IR due to a triceps injury, Harkey didn't actually log one snap in 2016. Now healthy, expect him to contend with Temarrick Hemingway for the third spot on the tight end depth chart in training camp.

  • Rams' Cory Harkey: Re-signs with Rams
    By RotoWire Staff

Harkey has inked an undisclosed deal to remain with the Rams, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. With Jared Cook gone, Harkey should play a larger role in the offense as the Rams love two-tight end sets. He only had five catches for 26 yards last season and is primarily a blocker, but should see at least a minor spike in production in 2016.
