  • Wilcox visited with the Falcons on Wednesday, and it is expected that he soon will re-sign with the team, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Though not yet official, Atlanta appears to be bringing back a familiar face in Wilcox after he was cut by the team Sept. 4. The Falcons secondary has been ravaged by injury, as A.J. Terrell (reserve-COVID-19), Darqueze Dennard (hamstring), Keanu Neal (hamstring) and Ricardo Allen (elbow) were all inactive for Week 4, and that was before Damontae Kazee suffered a torn Achilles during Monday night's loss to Green Bay.

  • The Falcons have re-signed Wilcox, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports. Wilcox originally signed with the team last April, but his 2019 campaign was derailed by a torn ACL in July. Now that he's been officially brought back by the Falcons and presumably ready to practice, the 2013 third-rounder will provide the team with some needed depth at safety.

  • Wilcox agreed to a one-year deal with the Falcons on Monday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports. Wilcox suited up for seven games between the Colts and Jets last season without a single start, notching seven tackles in that span. The 28-year-old projects to provide the Falcons with depth at the safety position behind Keanu Neal (knee) and Ricardo Allen (Achilles).

  • Wilcox (ankle) was listed as a full participant at Tuesday's walkthrough. Wilcox was unable to play in Saturday's wild-card win over the Texans, but his quick return to practice -- though it's still just an estimation -- bodes well for the divisional round. The Colts may need the added depth at safety with Clayton Geathers (knee), Mike Mitchell (calf) and Malik Hooker (foot) all nursing injuries.

  • Wilcox (ankle) is upgraded to questionable for Saturday's wild-card game against the Texans, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports. Wilcox was initially listed as doubtful for Indianapolis' playoff opener due to an ankle injury, but he now appears to be trending in the right direction. With starter Clayton Geathers, who has missed the last two games due to a knee injury, also listed as questionable, Wilcox will be a key reinforcement to the Colts' secondary if he's able to take the field.
