Bell (back) won't play in Sunday's contest against Washington, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports. Bell didn't practice at all this week, so his status for Sunday shouldn't be a surprise. The 30-year-old has played at least 17 offensive snaps in all five games this season, so Noah Gray and Jody Fortson should be in line for an increased workload behind Travis Kelce on Sunday.
Bell (back) won't participate in Thursday's practice, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports. Bell will be held out of practice for a second straight day as he continues to deal with a back injury. If he hopes to play Sunday against Washington, he'll presumably need to return to practice in some capacity Friday.
Bell (back) didn't practice Wednesday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports. It's unclear when Bell picked up the injury, but it's worth monitoring throughout the week. Travis Kelce (neck) also is questionable for Week 6, so Noah Gray and Jody Fortson could be in line for extended work against Washington.
Bell has signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports. Bell spent last season with the Cowboys, logging 11 catches for 110 yards in 16 games. He's now set to return to Kansas City, where he played in 2019 and will provide the team with a capable blocking tight end presence behind star pass catcher Travis Kelce.
Bell (neck) caught 11 of 15 targets for 110 yards over 16 games for the Cowboys in 2020. After Blake Jarwin (knee) was lost for the season in Week 1, Dalton Schultz moved into the No. 1 tight end spot for Dallas, but Bell remained purely a blocker for the most part. Even so, the 110 receiving yards was the veteran TE's best total since he was a rookie with the 49ers in 2015. A free agent once again, Bell could find himself playing for his sixth team in six years in 2021.
