Mitchell (wrist) was activated from injured reserve Saturday. It's unclear as to whether Mitchell will play in Sunday's game against the Panthers. Mitchell has been working with the practice squad over the last four weeks, but the Browns have not explicitly stated any plans for the 26-year-old.
Mitchell (wrist) will return from injured reserve Week 14, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Mitchell was placed on injured reserve Oct. 2 after undergoing surgery on his broken wrist. It was initially thought that the fifth-year pro would miss the remainder of the 2018 season, but Mitchell has progressed quickly in his recovery and is expected to return prior to Sunday's tilt against the Panthers. It remains to be seen whether Mitchell will be able to suit up Week 14, but his presence would be a notable boon to the Browns' secondary if Denzel Ward (concussion) is unable to go.
Mitchell (wrist) was designated for return from injured reserve and will practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Mitchell was placed on IR on Oct. 2 after undergoing surgery to repair a broken wrist. Nearly six weeks later, the cornerback is on the mend and should be activated when first eligible Dec. 9 against the Panthers if he experiences no setbacks upon returning to practice.
Mitchell fractured his forearm during Sunday's 45-42 loss to the Raiders, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Mitchell was replaced by T.J. Carrie, who will likely slot into the lineup as Cleveland's starting right cornerback for the foreseeable future. A recovery timetable for Mitchell has yet to be disclosed, but injuries of this nature can take up to eight weeks to fully heal. The 26-year-old's injury is a substantial blow to the Browns' secondary.
Mitchell (wrist) will not return to Sunday's game against the Raiders. It seemed fairly obvious Mitchell would not return when he left on a cart with his arm in a cast, but now it's official. T.J. Carrie will continue to hold down the fort in the Oregon product's absence.
