  • Jaguars' Calvin Pryor: Activated off IR
    By RotoWire Staff

Pryor (ankle) was activated off the Jaguars' injured reserve list Saturday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports. The Jaguars had until Wednesday to activate Pryor, but it looks like he will be ready to contribute for their Week 11 contest against the Browns. Pryor, who was acquired from the Jets off waivers prior to Week 1, will be another weapon for an already stacked Jaguars defense.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Pryor: May come off IR soon
    By RotoWire Staff

Head coach Doug Marrone believes Pryor (ankle) will be activated from injured reserve Saturday or Sunday, Mike Kaye of WTLV reports. The Jaguars have until Wednesday, Nov. 22 to activate Pryor, or else he will be placed on season-ending injured reserve. Jacksonville has earned the title of the top-ranked defense through 10 weeks, so it's unclear how the Jags would deal with Pryor's return.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Pryor: Won't be able to play Sunday
    By RotoWire Staff

Pryor (ankle) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Titans. The 2014 first-round pick wasn't slated for much more than a special teams role Sunday. Pryor will likely have opportunities to climb the depth chart when he's healthy. Still, it's unclear when this injury was sustained, so the timeline for his return is tough to project.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Pryor: Claimed by Jags
    By RotoWire Staff

Pryor was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars on Friday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports. Pryor didn't even make it to the regular season in Cleveland, but now he has another opportunity in Jacksonville. The 25-year-old will likely be a depth piece in the secondary to start, but with Tashaun Gipson (ankle) questionable for Sunday's game against Houston, he could have an opportunity to earn a larger role.

  • Calvin Pryor: Cut by Cleveland following fight
    By RotoWire Staff

The Browns released Pryor on Thursday. After wearing out his welcome with the Jets following a rough first three seasons in the league, Pryor, a 2014 first-round pick, was dealt to the Browns in June, with Cleveland hoping that a change an environment would help the safety tap into his potential. Though Pryor was set to open the upcoming season in a reserve role, the Browns handed him his walking papers after he got into a fight with a teammate prior to Thursday's practice, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Browns will likely promote Kai Nacua from the practice squad to take Pryor's spot on the 53-man roster and provide the team with additional depth in the defensive backfield.
