Foster (hamstring) re-signed Wednesday with the Cardinals on a one-year contract. Foster appeared in six contests with the Cardinals in 2019 prior to sustaining a season-ending hamstring injury. When back to full health, he'll spend the summer competing for a reserve role out of the backfield behind Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds.
Foster (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports. Foster missed the last two games with the hamstring issue and now is likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season. Kenyan Drake was acquired from Miami (pending a physical) to bolster Arizona's running game while David Johnson (ankle) and Chase Edmonds (hamstring) nurse injuries.
Foster (hamstring) was ruled out for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Foster hasn't practiced since he was listed as limited on the Cardinals' injury report Thursday, Oct. 17. Prior to that point, he was contained to just special teams, but the fact David Johnson (ankle) received just three snaps on offense Week 7 against the Giants would have opened the door for Foster to contribute on offense behind Chase Edmonds. Instead, Foster will miss a second game in a row while Johnson enters this weekend as questionable to suit up again.
Foster (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant for Wednesday's practice. The 25-year-old missed last week's game due to the injury and hasn't logged a good start for his chances to suit up for Sunday's game against the Saints. Foster has been restricted to special team's snaps this season and faces an even tougher challenge to see time, as the team added veterans Alfred Morris and Zach Zenner to its roster Wednesday. Foster likely will need to log at least a limited practice session to have a chance to play.
Foster (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Foster strictly has played special teams to this point in the season, but he might have been part of the offense this week with David Johnson (ankle) considered a game-time decision. In any case, Chase Edmonds is left as the only healthy running back on Arizona's roster, with Justin Davis waiting on the practice squad.
