Crawley (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Bears. New Orleans is in fine shape at cornerback, with Janoris Jenkins, Marshon Lattimore and Patrick Robinson all available for Sunday's road trip, plus Justin Hardee on call as a No. 4 option if needed. Crawley has been active for just two contests thus far in 2020, playing six defensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps across the pair of appearances.
Crawley was reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The 27-year-old was placed on the list after being in close contact with the COVID-positive Emmanuel Sanders, but he's now been cleared after being away from the team for a few days. Crawley has played a handful of snaps between defense and special teams in his two appearances with the Saints this season.
The Saints placed Crawley on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports. Crawley hasn't tested positive for the virus, but he came into close contact with Saints receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who has been infected. The 27-year-old cornerback has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, but he could return Week 8 against the Bears if he clears the league's COVID-19 protocols.
The Raiders waived Crawley on Tuesday. He was cut to make room for Rod Smith to come off the reserve/COVID-19 list. Crawley appeared in five games between the Dolphins and Saints in 2019, during which span he notched six tackles (all with Miami).
Crawley (shoulder) signed with the Raiders on Thursday, Howard Balzer of 590 The Fan St. Louis reports. Crawley was a part of the Dolphins' organization throughout most of 2019 but was waived from injured reserve in mid-December. The shoulder injury that ended Crawley's season seems to have subsided, and he should be ready for the commencement of the Raiders' offseason program.
