Barber had 17 carries and two touchdowns in a season-opening win over Philadelphia, and he split work with J.D. McKissic when Antonio Gibson missed some time with a toe injury in December. Apart from that, Barber had a quiet year, maintaining a role on special teams and occasionally subbing in for Gibson on early downs. Barber will turn 27 in June and has one year remaining on his contract, but he'll likely need to battle for his roster spot if he stays in Washington this offseason.

Barber played only 16 percent of offensive snaps, down from 48 percent the previous week in the first game Antonio Gibson (toe) missed. Meanwhile, J.D. McKissic got 13 carries and 10 targets on 88 percent snap share, turning in a season-best fantasy performance despite Barber vulturing a goal-line touchdown. Even if Gibson misses more time, Barber won't necessarily get more than a handful of touches Week 16 against Carolina.

Barber is likely set for another game of splitting work with J.D. McKissic, after getting 12 carries and three targets on season-high 48 percent snap share in last week's 23-15 win over the 49ers. The upcoming matchup appears similarly difficult, as the Seattle defense has played well since midseason, and the Football Team will have Dwayne Haskins filling in for Alex Smith (calf) as the starting quarterback.

Barber (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday. Since Antonio Gibson got injured early in a Week 13 win at Pittsburgh, Barber has received 28 touches for 61 yards from scrimmage and one TD over two games. Meanwhile, receiving back J.D. McKissic has combined for 28 touches, 164 total yards and no scores. If Gibson is forced to miss Sunday's game due to his bout with turf toe, Barber and McKissic will continue to split work out of Washington's backfield.
