  • Rams' Mo Alexander: Released by Los Angeles
    By RotoWire Staff

The Rams released Alexander on Monday, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. A surprise inactive just one day prior, Alexander quickly fell from the starting lineup to the free-agent heap. The 2014 fourth-round pick had 20 tackles in four games, but the Rams apparently weren't impressed by his overall body of work. With LaMarcus Joyner (groin) on the shelf, Cody Davis and John Johnson started at safety in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Seahawks.

  • Rams' Mo Alexander: Not playing Week 5
    By RotoWire Staff

Alexander (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. The decision is a curious one, as Alexander wasn't listed on the injury report this week. He'll join fellow starting safety Lamarcus Joyner (groin) on the sideline, which will allow Cody Davis and John Johnson to serve as the Rams' top safeties Week 5.

  • Rams' Mo Alexander: Dealing with shoulder injury
    By RotoWire Staff

Alexander was held out of Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury, Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times reports. Coming off a two-tackle performance in the opener, Alexander may be in danger of missing the Week 2 game against the Redskins. Alexander's absence would likely allow Blake Countess or Cody Davis to start next to Lamarcus Joyner at safety.

    By RotoWire Staff

Alexander (hip) was removed from the non-football injury list Saturday, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports. The development allowed Alexander to make his first training camp appearance on the practice field. His reps during the offseason program were impacted by a hip injury, but the ailment appears to be a thing of the past. He'll now begin preparations to start at strong safety for the Rams in 2017.

  • Rams' Mo Alexander: Opens camp on NFI list
    By RotoWire Staff

Alexander (hip) opened training camp on the non-football injury list, but head coach Sean McVay noted the strong safety should still be able to practice, the Los Angeles Times reports. Alexander started all 14 games he played last season and recorded 50 tackles -- 38 solo -- and two interceptions. He's not a go-to fantasy asset in most settings, but he's carved out a key role in the Los Angeles secondary. McVay's comments suggest the strong safety should be healthy for the beginning of the regular season.
