  • Chargers' Tre Boston: Intercepts two passes
    By RotoWire Staff

Boston intercepted two passes and finished Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Jaguars with six tackles (four solo). Boston likely should have had three interceptions, with quarterback Blake Bortles sailing a pass early in the fourth quarter that the veteran safety simply dropped. Still, the two interceptions certainly aren't anything to complain about for fantasy owners savvy enough to start Boston.

  • Chargers' Tre Boston: Gobbles up seven tackles
    By RotoWire Staff

Boston wrangled seven tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Raiders. The Chargers defense was surprisingly stout against the run, holding the Raiders to just five yards per carry, a number that was massively boosted by a Cordarrelle Patterson's 47-yard reverse. Boston was a major part of the improvement while nearly leading the team in tackles, as he only trailed linebackers Hayes Pullard (10) and Korey Toomer (eight) in stops on the afternoon.

Boston (knee) signed with the Chargers on Friday. Boston joins Los Angeles after spending the first three seasons of his career with the Panthers. The 24-year-old started 10 games for them last season, registering a career-best 53 tackles and two interceptions. However, after suffering a knee injury late in the year, Boston ended the campaign on injured reserve. As a result, he'll have to prove both his health and ability in order to stick with the Chargers.

  • Panthers' Tre Boston: Cut by Panthers
    By RotoWire Staff

Boston (knee) was released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Max Henson of Panthers.com reports. Boston's release comes as a bit of a surprise after he made 10 starts in 2016. He recorded 50 tackles to go with a pair of interceptions, but ended the season on IR due to a knee injury. Look for Mike Adams to see most of the snaps as Carolina's starting free safety this season.
