Pierre-Louis agreed Wednesday with the Bears on a one-year contract, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports. Pierre-Louis has appeared in 57 games for three different teams in his career (Seahawks, Chiefs and Jets), racking up 91 tackles (62 solo) and one sack. The 27-year-old linebacker saw 182 of his 217 total snaps on special teams last season and presumably won't be tasked with filling a major role on defense for the Bears.
The Jets declined Pierre-Louis' (shoulder) $2.875 million option for 2019, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. Pierre-Louis landed on injured reserve prior to the season finale as he was set to miss his seventh consecutive game. The 27-year-old had only seven total tackles in nine games with New York as he mostly served in a special teams role.
Pierre-Louis (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. The move means nothing in regards to Pierre-Louis' injury -- he was already ruled out for Week 17 -- as the Jets simply decided to create some additional roster space for the season finale. The 27-year-old had seven combined tackles and a sack while playing in only nine games this season.
Pierre-Louis (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Packers. Pierre-Louis played through the shoulder injury against the Texans last week but was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday. With the 27-year-old unlikely to play Sunday, recent waiver claim Emmanuel Lamur could see increased reps as a reserve inside linebacker versus Green Bay.
Pierre-Louis (shoulder) is active for Saturday's game against the Texans. Pierre-Louis was listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis this week. The 27-year-old has mostly played special teams this season, but could see increased snaps as a reserve inside linebacker with Darron Lee suspended for the rest of the season.
