Michel rushed nine times for 42 yards during Sunday's 38-11 win over New York. The first-year Ram sustained a shoulder injury during the contest, but he isn't expected to miss any time. Michel is playing second fiddle to Darrell Henderson with the latter scoring twice and playing 42 more offensive snaps against the Giants on Sunday. With Henderson the clear No. 1 running back, Michel's current fantasy value is capped. Still, it's probably safe to assume Michel would step into a significant role if Henderson were ever to miss time, so Michel has wait-and-see value warranting a roster spot in most formats.
Michel injured his shoulder during a Week 6 road win against the Giants, but the Rams expect him to be available Sunday versus the Lions, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Since his arrival from New England in late August, Michel's usage on game days has been tied to the Rams' available personnel out of the backfield, with his snap shares ranging from six to 73 percent through six games. Overall, he's averaging 3.8 YPC on 54 rushes, gathered in four of five targets for 20 yards and scored one TD on the ground. Now with a shoulder issue in tow, Michel's practice reps likely will be capped during Week 7 prep.
Michel rushed 11 times for 37 yards and a touchdown and added an eight-yard reception during Thursday's 26-17 win over Seattle. Most of Michel's work came in the second quarter while starting running back Darrell Henderson was nursing an injury on the sideline. Michel's touchdown came in the middle of the fourth quarter on a two-yard rush, however. While Henderson has looked more explosive of the two backs this season, he's already missed an entire game and doesn't look capable of staying healthy for the long haul in a three-down role. Additionally, Michel has been solid when his number has been called, even if his statistics don't jump off the page.
Michel rushed three times for 11 yards and played just seven of 68 offensive snaps during Sunday's 37-20 loss to Arizona. With Darrell Henderson back in the lineup and handling the majority of the backfield work, Michel returned to a secondary role for the Rams. Henderson racked up 116 yards from scrimmage while playing 61 of 68 offensive snaps. Head coach Sean McVay has typically gone with a bell-cow back during his tenure with the Rams, so as long as Henderson is healthy and running well, Michel's fantasy value is probably going to be limited. However, the first-year Ram should still be rostered in the majority of settings because of his upside if the oft-injured Henderson misses time.
Michel carried the ball 20 times for 67 yards in Sunday's Week 3 win over Tampa Bay. Michel handled 20 of the team's 24 carries with Darrell Henderson (ribs) sidelined. Michel wasn't particularly efficient, though he did manage gains of 15 and 11 yards to pace his effort. Most importantly, Sunday's usage certainly suggests that Michel would continue to serve as the lead back in a Week 4 matchup against Arizona if Henderson were to remain sidelined.
