  • McLaurin brought in four of seven targets for 62 yards in Washington's 43-21 loss to the Bills on Sunday. McLaurin unsurprisingly paced Washington in targets while tying Logan Thomas for the team lead in receptions. The speedy third-year wideout's line matched his Week 1 tally, with his 11-catch, 107-yard, one-touchdown effort versus the Giants in Week 2 the outlier thus far through three weeks. McLaurin will look to get back to that type of production when Washington tangles with the Falcons on the road Week 4.

  • McLaurin secured 11 of 14 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown in Washington's 30-29 win over the Giants on Thursday night. The speedy third-year man was unsurprisingly Taylor Heinicke's top target throughout the night, and he contributed several key receptions. McLaurin came down with a contested 11-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter, and he also notched a six-yard catch to move the ball to the Giants' 30 on the offense's penultimate play from scrimmage during Washington's game-winning drive. Through two games, McLaurin has now recorded 15 receptions for 169 yards, and his rapport with Heinicke on Thursday certainly sends him into a Week 3 road contest versus the Bills a week from Sunday with plenty of momentum.

  • McLaurin caught all four of his targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Chargers. 34 of McLaurin's 62 yards came on a poor pass from Taylor Heinicke that was inexplicably whiffed on mid-air by a Chargers defender, setting up a pretty sideline catch. Washington made a concerted effort to involve McLaurin in the offense to start the second half, setting up three of his four catches to start the third, but he was curiously absent from the gameplan the rest of the way. Who McLaurin will be catching passes from in future weeks will be something to monitor as starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick left Sunday's contest with a hip injury, forcing Heinicke into relief.

  • McLaurin and a slew of other key players likely will be held out of Saturday's preseason game against Baltimore, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. The list also includes RB Antonio Gibson, TE Logan Thomas and WRs Dyami Brown and Adam Humphries. The Washington offense appears in much better shape than last season, though key offseason addition Curtis Samuel (groin) still hasn't practiced since early June. Regardless of Samuel's availability, McLaurin is the centerpiece of Washington's passing game heading into a Week 1 home date with the Chargers.

  • McLaurin caught two of three targets for 25 yards in Thursday's 22-12 preseason loss to New England. McLaurin had a 22-yard gain on the second play of the game and ultimately accounted for three of Ryan Fitzpatrick's eight targets. The star wideout will see plenty of looks in any scenario, but he could really be busy early in the season if Curtis Samuel's absence extends past August. Washington's big offseason acquisition has been on the PUP list since the start of training camp, bothered by the same groin injury that kept him out of offseason practices in early-to-mid June. Next up for McLaurin are exhibitions against Cincinnati (Aug. 20) and Baltimore (Aug. 28), followed by the season opener versus the Chargers on Sept. 12.
