  • Chargers' Uchenna Nwosu: Causes fumble in loss
    By RotoWire Staff

Nwosu picked up seven tackles (five solo), a sack and a forced fumble in the 20-13 loss Sunday to the Chargers. Nwosu actually saw more time on the field (57 snaps) than any other linebacker, outpacing tackle leader Thomas Davis (40 snaps) by a fairly wide margin. That's likely a byproduct of Nwosu's pass-rushing capability, particularly with a likely multi-week injury to defensive end Melvin Ingram (hamstring). Nwosu could be set up for another productive day against a Steelers team that could be forced to start third-string quarterback Devlin Hodges.

    By RotoWire Staff

Nwosu (abdomen) wasn't listed on the Chargers' injury report for Wednesday's practice, suggesting he's fully healthy. The USC product had been reportedly dealing with a sore abdomen, and was likely sidelined for rest purposes in the first place. Now that he's fully healthy, Nwosu is excepted to start along side Thomas Davis at outside linebacker for Week 1's showdown against the Colts.

  • Chargers' Uchenna Nwosu: Nursing abdominal injury
    By RotoWire Staff

Nwosu was sidelined at Tuesday's practice due to an abdominal injury, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Nwosu had wrap around his abdomen as he sat out practice. He is reportedly just sore, so it makes sense for the team to let him rest in order to avoid a lingering issue. The 22-year-old suited up for all 16 games as a rookie on the Chargers last year including three starts. He is currently projected to start opposite Thomas Davis at outside linebacker come Week 1.

  • Chargers' Uchenna Nwosu: Starting Week 6
    By RotoWire Staff

Nwosu will start at outside linebacker against the Browns on Sunday, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports. Jatavis Brown (groin) and Kyzir White (knee) are both inactive Sunday, prompting Nwosu to get the starting nod. Nwosu -- a 2018 second-round pick -- has eight tackles and a sack this season, but hasn't topped 19 defensive snaps in a game, which is likely to change at Cleveland.
