The Vikings lifted Jones' roster exemption Saturday, making him eligible to play Sunday versus the Packers. The Vikings claimed Jones off waivers from the Lions earlier this week, and he's cleared the necessary COVID-19 protocols to join the team. There's a decent chance he's still inactive Sunday because he hasn't practiced with the team, and if he suits up, he'll likely stick to a special teams role.
