Currie (knee) was waived with an injury settlement Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports. Currie landed on injured reserve after injuring his knee in the Browns' preseason finale. Once healthy, he could find a spot on another team or practice squad.

Currie exited Thursday's preseason game against the Lions with a knee injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Currie led the Browns with six tackles (four solo) and a sack while playing 52 defensive snaps prior to leaving with the injury in the fourth quarter. The extent of the injury is not currently known.
