  • Ozigbo logged seven snaps on offense during Sunday's 33-22 win over Washington. With Tony Jones (ankle) on injured reserve, Ozigbo outpaced Dwayne Washington by five offensive snaps while fullback Alex Armah more than doubled his previous season high with 16. However, no one but Alvin Kamara, who saw the vast majority of the playing time, touched the ball. It seems likely that none of these guys will approach the modest fantasy value Jones offered before getting injured.

  • Ozigbo signed a contract with the Saints on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. Ozigbo joined Jacksonville's practice squad after being cut at the end of training camp, but he'll now make his way to New Orleans. The 25-year-old appeared in 18 games for the Jaguars between 2018 and 2019, totaling 10 carries for 28 yards and 12 catches for 65 yards. He'll step in as New Orleans' No. 3 tailback with Tony Jones (ankle) expected to be out the next few weeks.

  • Jacksonville signed Ozigbo to the practice squad Wednesday. Ozigbo is set to begin the 2021 regular season as an emergency practice squad option behind James Robinson, Carlos Hyde and Dare Ogunbowale. He suited up for eight games last season but only handled one carry.

  • Ozigbo has been waived by the Jaguars. Ozigbo ended up being the odd man out in the Jaguars' backfield, though if he goes unclaimed, he could resurface with the team in some capacity. Jacksonville's top three RBs following initial cut-downs are James Robinson, Carlos Hyde and Dare Ogunbowale.

  • Ozigbo carried the ball 11 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and caught both his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's preseason win over the Cowboys. The numbers look good, but Ozigbo was the fourth back into the game for the Jaguars after James Robinson, Carlos Hyde and Dare Ogunbowale handled all the first-half snaps, and Ozigbo's performance likely didn't allow him to move up the depth chart. The third-year RB spent more time on special teams than he did on offense when he was active last year, and the same is likely to be true again in 2021.
