Fox agreed Wednesday with the Panthers on a two-year, $8.5 million contract, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. The Panthers are bolstering their pass rush on the first day of the new year, having already signed Haason Reddick just hours before bringing Fox aboard. Fox played a career-high 403 defensive snaps for the Rams in 2020, recording personal bests in tackles (27), sacks (six) and pass breakups (two).
Fox (knee) signed his exclusive rights free agent tender with the Rams on Monday, Myles Simmons of the team's official sitee reports. Fox spent the 2018 season sidelined due to an ACL tear sustained during OTAs last offseason. He'll work towards achieving full health heading into the Rams' offseason program. The 24-year-old projects to suit up as a rotational defensive end, when healthy.

He saw an increased role in 2017, racking up 19 total tackles and 2.5 sacks while appearing in all 16 games. The Rams are loaded on the defensive line, but Fox's absence could be felt on special teams.
