Elliott was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. It remains unclear whether Elliott actually tested positive for COVID-19 or if he was simply exposed, but he has finally been cleared to return to the field after nearly two weeks sidelined. He is looking to earn a spot on the team's final roster providing depth at strong safety.
Elliott was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Elliott, along with a number of other Lions players, was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. It means either the player himself tested positive or was near someone who did. The distinction between the two will determine when they are allowed to rejoin the team, but that information for now will remain with the Lions.
