Board (shoulder) was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports. Board was on injured reserve after injuring his shoulder in the Browns' preseason finale. However, now that he has been waived, he could find an opportunity with another team this season, if he can prove he is healthy.
Board (shoulder) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve, according to the league's official transaction log. Board, who injured his shoulder in the preseason finale, is stuck on IR through the end of the league year unless he agrees to an injury settlement at some point.
Board (shoulder) was waived/injured by the Browns on Friday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. With final roster cuts looming Saturday, the Browns got ahead of the curve by waiving Board. The wide receiver injured his shoulder in the team's final preseason game, so he will likely revert to their injured reserve assuming he clears waivers. He would then remain there unless both parties came to terms on an injury settlement.
Board injured his shoulder during Thursday's preseason game against the Lions and is questionable to return, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports. Board did not record a catch before exiting. The second-year wide receiver is currently sitting squarely on Cleveland's roster bubble, so he'll hope the injury isn't significant.
The Browns signed Board to a reserve/future contract Monday. Board has spent time with the Ravens and Titans since going undrafted out of Tennessee-Chattanooga last spring but didn't appear in any games in 2017. He ultimately finished the year on the Browns' practice squad and will now look to carve out a role on special teams this offseason.
