Buffalo worked out Gillespie (knee) Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gillespie was cut by Houston prior to Week 1, but it looks like he could now be on the verge of joining up with a new team. He played exclusively on special teams with Jacksonville in 2022.... See More ... See Less

Texans' Tyree Gillespie: Lands on injured reserve
Gillespie (knee) reverted to injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gillespie will need to seek out an injury settlement from the Texans to have a chance at playing this season, depending on the severity of his injury. Otherwise, the 24-year-old will now spend the entirety of the 2023 campaign on the shelf.... See More ... See Less -
Tyree Gillespie: Let go Monday
The Jaguars waived Gillespie on Monday. Gillespie recorded eight tackles while almost exclusively on special teams over 11 games as a rookie with Las Vegas. The 2021 fourth-round pick was then traded to Tennessee in mid-August, but he was let go as part of the team's final roster cuts later that month. Gillespie went on to join Jacksonville and appear in three games without recording a statistic this season, and he'll likely look to catch on with a practice squad elsewhere before the end of the 2022 campaign.... Jaguars' Tyree Gillespie: Doesn't travel with team
Gillespie (not injury related) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. Gillespie is one of three players who didn't travel with the team despite being healthy. The nature of Gillespie's situation remains unclear, but he hasn't seen the field since Week 2, so his absence shouldn't have an impact on Jacksonville's defense.... See More ... See Less -
Tyree Gillespie: Waived by Tennessee
The Titans waived Gillespie on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. The Raiders traded Gillespie to the Titans in mid-August, but the safety now finds himself among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The 2021 fourth-round pick dealt with a hamstring injury during his rookie campaign with Las Vegas and recorded just eight tackles across 11 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Tyree Gillespie: Designated to return
Gillespie (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. Gillespie has been sidelined for each of the team's last four games, so he will be eligible to return as soon he is medically cleared. He has played almost entirely on special teams this season, logging seven tackles across eight games.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Tyree Gillespie: Returns to practice
Gillespie (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. The move will open a 21-day window for Gillespie to be moved to the Raider's active roster or else he will be out for the remainder of the season. The rookie has contributed almost exclusively on special teams over eight games played this season.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Tyree Gillespie: Lands on IR
Gillepsie (hamstring) was placed on the Raiders' reserve/injured list Wednesday. With Gillepsie now on IR, the Raiders elevated Patrick Onwuasor to their active roster, while they signed P.J. Johnson to their practice squad. The safety suffered the injury against the Chiefs and was replaced by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Expect Clinton-Dix to serve as the main source of depth behind Johnathan Abram until Gillepsie returns from injured reserve.... See More ... See Less
