Hajrullahu is scheduled to attend a workout with the Eagles, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Hajrullahu spent time with the Rams this offseason, but he wasn't able to parlay his opportunity into a spot on the active roster. The former CFL standout could tentatively garner a spot on Philadelphia's practice squad, if he manages to impress during his workout.
Hajrullahu has been waived by the Rams. As was Austin MacGinnis, meaning that the Rams have decided to proceed with Sam Sloman as their kicker heading into Week 1. Hajrullahu will thus look to land an opportunity elsewhere or perhaps even on the L.A.'s practice squad.
The Rams are planning to go with Sam Sloman as their kicker over Hajrullahu and Austin MacGinnis, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. The three had been competing for the job, but ultimately the team went with Sloman, a seventh-round draft pick. Hajrullahu is thus presumably slated to join the ranks of the kickers without teams, once league-wide cut-downs start rolling in.
Hajrullahu appears to hold the lead in the Rams' kicker competition, but he missed three of his eight field-goal attempts in Saturday's scrimmage, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. It isn't all bad news for the CFL veteran Hajrullahu, as Sam Sloman also missed three kicks and Austin MacGinnis missed two. It sounds like the three-way competition is still wide-open with the Rams now two weeks away from their season opener against the Cowboys.
The Rams agreed with Hajrullahu on a three-year contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. This offseason, L.A. decided to move on from Greg Zuerlein after eight productive, but occasionally injured, campaigns. Hajrullahu himself is a six-year veteran of the CFL, connecting on 83.3 percent of his field-goal attempts while also averaging 44.1 yards per punt. The Rams also added Austin MacGinnis on Monday, leaving the duo as the current options to compete for Zuerlein's old spot.
