  • Matthews had seven tackles (six solo) and 2.5 sacks in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers. Matthews was back on the field after sitting out the previous week with a groin injury, and he made a significant impact on the game for the first time since Week 2. He is now up to 6.0 sacks on the season, which is one more than he recorded in 12 games in 2016.

  • Matthews (groin) is active Sunday against the Buccaneers. Matthews will return to action after logging limited practices all week, but don't be surprised if the Packers limit his snaps more towards passing downs in an effort to ease the oft-injured veteran back into action.

  • Packers' Clay Matthews: Questionable for Sunday
    By RotoWire Staff

Matthews (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Matthews was a limited participant in practice this week after sitting out last Sunday's loss to the Steelers. Ahmad Brooks (back) is also listed as questionable, which could leave Kyler Fackrell and Vince Biegel with a significant amount of snaps.

  • Packers' Clay Matthews: Ruled out Week 12
    By RotoWire Staff

Matthews (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Packers Director of Public Relations, Jason Wahlers, reports. Matthews pulled his groin in Week 11 against the Ravens and wasn't able to practice at all this week. His absence is an obvious negative for the Packers' pass rush and presumably leaves Kyler Fackrell, Ahmad Brooks and rookie Vince Biegel with larger roles Sunday.

  • Matthews (groin) has been deemed questionable for the Packers' Sunday night matchup against the Steelers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Matthews was forced to make an early exit from last week's loss to the Ravens due to the groin issue. The veteran has been a non-participant at practice all week, so his questionable designation may be a bit optimistic. Still, the team could be exercising caution with the 31-year-old. Final confirmation on his status is unlikely to be determined until closer to kickoff Sunday night. Ahmad Brooks and Kyler Fackerell would presumably see increased snaps should he sit out.
