Zombo racked up five tackles (two solo), including a sack in Sunday's game against the Giants. Zombo matched his season-high total for tackles during the contest and notched his first full sack of the campaign. He had previously collected a half-sack in Week 5 against the Texans, giving him 1.5 for the season. The veteran also made just his third start of 2017 but could make another next week if Dee Ford (back) is unavailable again for the Chiefs.
Zombo recorded a half-sack to go along with five tackles (four solo) in Sunday night's triumph over the Texans. The half-sack was Zombo's first quarterback take-down of the season. He saw 52 snaps (83 percent) in the contest, which is about as high of a workload as the veteran depth linebacker is going to see.
Several Chiefs who were on the injury report are active for the game at San Francisco. They include linebackers Tamba Hali (knee) and Frank Zombo (hamstring), cornerbacks Sean Smith (groin) and Marcus Cooper (knee), and running back De'Anthony Thomas (hamstring).
As expected, Chiefs wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin) and safety Eric Berry (ankle) have been ruled out for the Week 5 game at San Francisco. The only other non-probable is cornerback Marcus Cooper (knee), who is questionable. Running back Jamaal Charles (ankle) and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) headline a group of probables. The others are cornerback Sean Smith (groin), running back De'Anthony Thomas and linebacker Frank Zombo (hamstring).
Chiefs safety Eric Berry (heel), defensive end Mike DeVito (hand), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), wide receiver Junior Hemingway (hip), wide receiver A.J. Jenkins (concussion), linebacker Josh Martin (quadricep), running back Anthony Sherman (back), defensive tackle Vance Walker (hand), wide receiver Albert Wilson (ankle) and linebacker Frank Zombo (groin) were all cleared to play Week 1 vs. Tennessee. They were all listed as probable.
