Bills' Micah Hyde: Lethal combo with Poyer

Micah Hyde registered 72 tackles, two passes defensed, one interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 16 regular-season games in 2019.Hyde may actually be better in real life than in fantasy, as he seldom gets beat for a deep play and works with teammate Jordan Poyer to regularly out-scheme the opponent -- the two often switch up coverage based on what they see at the line of scrimmage. Buffalo has had a top pass defense ever since Hyde united with Poyer three seasons ago, and the duo is signed and will be at it again next season. Unfortunately for his IDP value, other safeties simply get more stops -- while Hyde is a consistent source of turnovers, he doesn't get enough to close the gap on the 100-tackle guys. If you have to choose between Buffalo's two study safeties, Poyer and his higher tackle totals is usually the better route.

Bills' Micah Hyde: Gobbles up tackles

Micah Hyde led the Buffalo Bills with 10 tackles and added a forced fumble during Thursday's win at Dallas.Hyde was shaken up briefly in the first half but returned shortly thereafter and played a spectacular game as the Bills upset the Cowboys. The veteran safety now has 56 tackles, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception on the season.

    Bills' Micah Hyde: Tackle leader

Micah Hyde made nine tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 24-9 win over Washington.Hyde notched his highest single-game tackle total of the season versus Washington's run-happy offense. The starting free safety normally has capped IDP value due to lacking tackle volume, but he's averaged seven stops per game since Buffalo's bye in Week 6.

Bills' Micah Hyde: Returns onside kick for score

Micah Hyde notched five solo tackles during Sunday's win over the Dolphins.Hyde also returned an onside kick for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, securing Buffalo's win over Miami. The 28-year-old plays a key role in the Buffalo Bills' secondary, but his low weekly tackle totals -- his game high is five this season -- prevent him from possessing as much upside in IDP formats as fellow Bills safety Jordan Poyer.

Bills' Micah Hyde: Picks off Brady

Micah Hyde had three solo tackles and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.Hyde came up clutch with the Patriots at the two-yard line and picked off Tom Brady in the end zone, as the Buffalo Bills managed to give up only nine offensive points for the game. The 28-year-old will continue to work as Buffalo's starting free safety, but his IDP value is somewhat limited due to his tackle totals (13 through four games).

Bills' Micah Hyde: Makes full recovery

Micah Hyde (neck) was a full participant for Tuesday's practice, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.Hyde had been tending to a neck injury that forced him to miss practice early in training camp. This is great news for a Buffalo Bills team that figures to have one of the best secondaries in the game for 2019. Barring injuries, Hyde and Jordan Poyer will roam the safety positions this season.

    Bills' Micah Hyde: Upgraded Sunday

Micah Hyde (neck) was a limited participant during Sunday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.Hyde was unable to participate in Thursday's practice, but was upgraded for Sunday. It's likely that the injury was just a training camp nick, and the team is taking a cautious approach with veteran. A healthy Hyde will form one of the league's top safety tandems with Jordan Poyer for 2019.

Bills' Micah Hyde: Missing Thursday's session

Micah Hyde will miss Thursday's practice due to a neck injury, Chris Brown of the Buffalo Bills' official site reports. We'll see if this is just a minor training camp nick. Hyde and Jordan Poyer form one of the league's top safety tandems, so the team would have a difficult time replacing either of them once we get to the regular season.
